Ok let me set the scene.
Two flights leaving from Cairns at around 6:00pm .
Both flights checking in and people lined up ready to check in.
According to screens there is 5 counters open 2 for Melbourne , 2 for Perth , 1 for Melbourne or Perth.
Of these 5 counters only 3 had people on them even though all 5 said they were open, after waiting five minutes one of the counter ladies packs up and leaves for who know where. That left two working.
People waiting is approx 40 -50
When we asked the lady standing out front from Jetstar doing the Kiosk help , her response was no my department, you have to ask another lady.
Well the "other lady" was on the service desk, no customers at that desk.
After 30 min they finally get to me in the line... weight my bag and charge me $30 for being 2.8kg over. - oh well there you go not only do you have to wait but also pay for it.
When I asked where the other ladies where the lady behind the counter smiled and said nothing.
Now I am not expecting the world just some normal service.. nobody like to wait round because no one is there to service them.
I by preference only fly QANTAS, at least I can ring and they do something about it.
But now days even if I book QANTAS I get a Jetstar flight.
AND yes I have had the cancelled flights, lost luggage, and rude behavior from staff, and been threatened once with being stopped from boarding because they got upset when I asked where the customer service was.
Finny thing is with travelling on several airlines the only one who has done that is Jetstar... makes me wonder.
