I had a return booking Gold Coast to Hobart which normally takes about 2.5hrs but for some unknown reason Jetstar thinks that more people want to fly from Hobart to Brisbane than the Gold Coast so in their wisdom they have cancelled the Direct Services.
Their Reservations Department offered me a service from Brisbane to Hobart via Melbourne which required me to make my own way to Brisbane, get off the flight in Melbourne, collect my bags, line up in queues again to recheck my bag and finally line up in queues at Security to finally board my next flight some four hours later.WHAT A JOKE!
INFORMATION FOR ANY UNLUCKY PEOPLE WHO MISS THEIR FLIGHTS AND FORFEIT THEIR FARE ONE THING THE AIRLINE DOES NOT TELL YOU IS THAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A REFUND FOR ALL TAXES PAID ON YOUR TICKET..THESE TAXES ARE NOT PAID BY THE AIRLINES UNTIL YOU HAVE ACTUALLY TRAVELLED ON THE SPECIFIED FLIGHT!!
