Incorrect information stated by call centre

I called Jetstar twice to discuss my options with having to cancel a trip to Bali on a Jetsaver flight. TWICE I was told I could change the name on the tickets for $50 p.p. (no other costs involvved) and to call back at least 24 hours beforehand with the name change. I then proceeded to book and pay for my international flight and then called Jetstar with the names of the ticket change. I was then informed I had to pay over $1000 for the new flights! I advised this was not the information given to me on previous calls but basically was told "tough". I requested customer complaints to call me and after 2 weeks have received a call today informing me they will not allow me to perfom the name change at the price quoted to me previously. I asked for the original calls to be brought up on their history as they state calls may be monitored but was told they use over 500 different call service reps so they could not bring up the original call. AS IF I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER FLIGHT OVERSEAS KNOWING IT WOULD COST ME MORE THAN DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE TICKETS TO CHANGE THEM?? No compassion (I am having to travel to a different destination due to friend's illness) No common sense NO accountability.....I will never use Jetstar again. Thank God for Virgin!
