Haven't flown with my children for awhile so we went for a quick trip up to Gold Coast from Melbourne I was happy to have my family with me in flying and I approach the Jetstar check-in and I asked the lady for help I wasn't familiar with the procedure in scanning the barcode that I had on my phone the lady was standing at a booth doing absolutely nothing she looked at me I had a smile on my face and I was happy to begin my holiday with my kids she looked add me I was very politely asking her for some help she just pointed to the screens and said scan your barcode and your tickets will come out and then she walked back to her-booth and stood there there playing with her nails.
I was totally disgusted with the initial contact with Jetstar we received help from another lady which we got our boarding passes printed and then we found our gate which was gate 44,we started walking and walking and walking and walking and we got to the group of gates which was 41 to 52 I think.
When we arrived at our gate, people were saying that the walk is over 400 m to these gates there is approximately 15 to 20 chairs between 2 to 3 gates and each gate there is a plane waiting to pick up approximately 250 passengers so we virtually had nowhere to sit.
it's absolutely ludicrous there were people there waiting
They had been pushed forward six hours from there 12 o'clock flight onto our 6:15 PM flight and they had been hanging around these gates waiting since 11 o'clock with nowhere to sit absolutely ridiculous arrived at the Gold Coast late.
Two days later I got a text to say that our return flight was going to be at the international terminal.
We flew home on the Saturday we arrived at the airport at 7 AM ,our flight was at 8:30 AM. In the airport on the screens at 7:30 in the morning it kept saying boarding in 15 minutes it was very confusing, we weren't sure where to go no one really helped explains the international procedure at the first x-ray and check-in.
At the next international check-in our bags were x-rayed again and our aftershave perfume deodorant cleansing creams toothpaste were all confiscated and thrown out.
We then walked 3 m 4 m forward After that second x-ray and a man stopped myself and my nine-year-old and my 12-year-old children and scaned us for explosives. My children were very shaken by all of this.
I showed him our boarding passes that had stickers on them I told him we were domestic passengers.
The government should not allow Jetstar to mix domestic flight passengers with international flights the whole experience was absolutely terrible with Jetstar I was looking forward to enjoying a holiday but the flights and what happen totally destroyed that.I will never fly with them again.
NEVER FLYING JETSTAR AGAIN
