chance of a refund?

two days in a row our flight to queenstown was cancelled for 'operational reasons' something to do with christchurch? interpreted it as it wasnt convenient for them. in the middle of it a friends father died and some other stuff so decided against trying for the third day to get a short holiday. besides which the phone service was appalling. any thoughts on if I will get a refund or at least be able to use the booking to get flights on another date?

Lost Baggage...Again. 2 times out of 3 trips. What a winning record

I fly to Darwin for work. I used to fly the direct SGN - DRW flight but that was canned earlier this yr, So I have to fly SGN - SIN - DRW.
Out of the 3 trips I've made for work (offshore drilling rig) Jetstar have managed to loose my single piece of checkin luggage 2 times.

I wish to convey my healt-felt congratulations to the Jetstar administrative team. The cooperative efforts of their call centre in the Phillipines, the accounts department and the ever endeavoring customer relationships staff have come together in superb synergy, successfully driving customer satisfaction so far into the ground that it is probably sitting somewhere below the earth's crust where whatever remains of it is being burned up by molten rock. Ok so I booked a return flight for 6 people (In groups of 2) For various times in november during Jetstars "Birthday sale, bring a friend for free!" AKA half price for two people.

So after booking, I realise 1 person could not go on a specific date. Simple i thought, change the name of the tickets to swap dates with another person. How hard could it be?

On the 12 May 2012 I made a bookings for my wife and myself through Jetstar online. The booking Reference No: X97U2J Flight Number JQ62 Darwin to Melbourne leaving 7:15am 7th June 2012
The costs were as follows:-

Seat $199
Extra leg room $170
Baggage $ 18
Booking fee $8.50

Total $395.50 x 2 = $791for both of us.

We had the option of adding extra leg room to our fare which we decided to take up. Seat allocation was 11D & 11E.

I was trying to find the appropriate flight which would get me to my destination when needed and booked my flight only to realize on payment that the date for my booking had been made on the day following my proposed date of travel. I rang Jetstar immediately and even though the flights for both days are listed at the same price they charged me $95. Im never flying Jetstar again!

From 4 hours to 14 +hours travel time

So my flight was supposed to go from Perth to Jakarta on thursday night/ friday early morning. It's supposed to be a 4ish hour flight. Bag Drop disgrace

I was 1 minute late dropping a bag off for a flight which I was already checked in for because of a delay with the shuttle from the long term parking company I had chosen. Jetstar had rescheduled the flight to be 10 minutes earlier departing than when I had originally booked. They were completely unmoved, unreasonable and unhelpful. i booked tickets on the take a friend for free for feb 2013 there were seats available on our return flight on 18 th feb 2013 which i was not given. i asked one of your representatives and they didnt even know it was on.

Why are we not surprised by the continued drop in the QANTAS share price
If Jetstar treats customers as they do.
Then previously loyal customers will bail out
Share price down to $1.06 on large volume today
Maybe good opportunity for an operator that understands good customer relations to buy

They changed the time and COMPANY (to Virgin) of our flight and then we weren't even on the system!!

I was in Melbourne for a weekend for a music festival. Getting home to Hobart with jetstar was a nightmare!!! Jetstar - You owe me money!

Flying up to Auckland for my 21st weekend on my birthday, arrive at the airport early so we don't miss check in, and they cancel our flight because the plane wasn't full enough. They said they were not going to refund it, but would pay for our flights on Jetstar or another airline so we could actually get there, so we bought full price air NZ tickets and left an hour later, they were some of the last tickets available. A flight load of people who arrived after us had their weekends ruined, the man ahead of us in line missed his connection flight back home to Thailand!

I have a ticket from denpasar to brisbane . I have paid a no change fee so i can change date anytime SO I BELIEVED . Patronizing Management

We are a professional organisation that travel excessively around the country. Our CEO is a Chairman's Lounge member of Qantas, yet this seems to count for very little on their subsidiary, Jetstar.

We recently held the largest industry Convention in Hobart, where we flew a photographer from Melbourne to Hobart in order to take professional photos. He required excess backage of 40kgs, which we pre-purchased. No issue on the flight down, everything worked out fine.

.rec text message from jetstar 1 hour before 9.30am flight cancelled , only flight available was 11pm flight.more than 12 hours away. room check out was 10am. after calling them ,was able to get flight from hobart at 2pm ,then had to hire car for day(min booking), got back to melbourne .called jetstar

This is a bit of a Jetstar horror story that I'd thought I'd share with you all. It's probably preaching to the converted and I'm not sure posting here will do much good but, oh well, here goes.

I have always wanted to travel to Japan as my grand mother was Japanese and we were very close. When she passed away late last year I began looking into going but didn't really have the funds. I resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't be traveling any time soon and began saving my pennies.

6.30am flight & i checked in with carry on luggage only 26 minutes before the flight - wasnt allowed on -

it would have been earlier except their ticket booth didnt work - why does it need 30 minutes to book in for a domestic flight - what a joke - the staff were rude and unhelpful

by the time the flight had taken off I have been treated badly twice by Jetstar staff, went to Virgin, couldnt get on so went to the other terminal & booked in with qantas

Firstly I love your website, misery loves company!

Back at the beginning of April we were enroute to Fiji via Sydney (from my home in Bali) on another carrier but got stalled in Sydney when a tropical storm blew through and, like many, we never actually made it to Fiji. The other carrier have fully refunded our ticket held with them, Jetstar however continue to give us the run around.

Well it couldn't go smoothly could it, that would be too much to ask. After the cancelled flights and the near useless vouchers and having to purchase an additional night accomodation, here we go again. Jetstar charged me $160 extra to check in a Guitar.. then lost it!

Jetstar charged me $160 extra to check in a small light weight nylon string Guitar, but then on arrival in NZ - Christchurch... low and behold, no Guitar! Well the Jetstar baggage counter staff in Christchurch were very young and seemed more confused than I was with what to do about it. Luckily with help from an older security guard I filled out a form with my contact details and hoped food the best. I then spent 2 days trying to track it down with and then had to wait at one of our holiday destinations longer than we wanted for the Guitar to be couriered to me.

Half year passed, I haven't got my ticket refunded!

I booked round trip ticket from Melbourne to Brisbane for a friend and me in November 2010. But we didn't make it for some unexpected reason. We were very happy at that moment Jetstar approved to refund the ticket in December.

Now it's May 2012 already, almost half year passed, we haven't got the refund yet! We made phone calls to the customer service many times trying to understand what's going on. Jetstar customer service told me almost always the same reason-they made the remittance but it could not go through.

Jetstar are strick on their check in 30 minute before flight policy, but when it is 5am in the morning, no other cutomers around and you are there on the exact time of cut off, with only carry on luggage, surely there shouldn't be a problem. Futhermore there were no other flights for the rest of the day. Disgusted by there disregard for the customer. Jetstar is now blacklisted.
