Jetstar and
Qantas are pleased to help form part of the minimum domestic and regional
network supported by the Australian Government.

This will
see the number of passenger flights across the Qantas Group increase from 105
per week currently to 164 per week to all capital cities and 36 regional
destinations. Jetstar will operate 88 of these weekly flights, ensuring
communities stay connected and assisting with the movement of critical freight
around the country such as mail and medical equipment.

The
temporary regional network focuses on towns that are more than two hours’ drive
from key transport hubs.

While the
risk of contracting Coronavirus on board an aircraft is regarded as low, seat
allocation allowing for social distancing on domestic and regional flights will
combine with lower passenger numbers to reduce this risk further. Similarly,
on-board service will be a scaled back version of what would normally apply.

The additional services will operate initially for eight weeks,
after which the government will continue to monitor demand and determine of
further action is required.

Customers
can book at jetstar.com and are reminded that various quarantine restrictions
apply across states and territories.
