Information on flights affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake and on ticket changes and refunds (Last updated on April 25)

As employees of Jetstar Japan, our heartfelt condolences go out to those affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake.
Jetstar Japan has had to cancel flights since April 16due to the closure of the Kumamoto Airport Terminal Building, but partial operations restarted from April 19 and currently Jetstar Japan is operate all of its regular flight schedules for Tokyo (Narita) = Kumamoto route as below.

Jetstar Japan flights to/from destinations in the Kyushu region other than Kumamoto are operating as scheduled (as of 12:00, April 24). However, there is a possibility that aftershocks may have an impact on our operations. In addition, there has been an impact on transportation to airports. Please check the status of roads and other transportation beforehand, and leave enough time to get to the airport.
We have special measures in place for customers flying in/out of the following airports, so please see the relevant section below.
<Kumamoto Airport>
Flight period: By May 15
Refund: Yes
Change of flight date:

If customers change the date of flights to May 15 or earlier, Jetstar will not charge flight change handling fees or flight fare difference.

Handling fees will not be charged for customers postponing these flights until after May 16. However, differences in flight fare will be charged.
Change of route: No / Refund and create new booking

Flight period: By May 8
Refund: Yes
Change of flight date:

If customers change the date of flights to May 8 or earlier, Jetstar will not charge flight change handling fees or flight fare difference.

If customers change the date of flights to May 15 or earlier, Jetstar will not charge flight change handling fees, but flight fare difference will be charged.

Handling fees and differences in flight fare will be charged for customers postponing these flights after May 16.

Flight period: By April 28
Refund: Yes
Change of flight date:

If customers change the date of flights to May 8 or earlier, Jetstar will not charge flight change handling fees or flight fare difference.
