Last Updated: 02/02/2020 11:51 AM
Jetstar has been advised of
changes to the immigration regulations for a number of countries around the
globe as a result of the coronavirus.
Many countries including Australia (more details
below), New
Zealand, the US, Japan, Vietnam and Singapore have implemented entry requirements for travellers who have
visited or reside in Hubei province and/or mainland China. If you do not meet
the requirements for entry based on these restrictions, you will not be
permitted to board your flight.
Please refer to the smartraveller website and the relevant government websites for all countries you
will be travelling through including your final destination.

Australian
immigration restrictions
The Australian
Government has announced immediate immigration measures which restrict entry to
travellers who have been in mainland China on or after 1 February 2020. Those
who have been in or transited through mainland China since 1 February 2020 will
not be permitted to board flights to Australia.
Those who departed mainland China before 1 February are not affected. Australian
citizens or permanent residents (and their immediate family) are exempt. To
understand more about these new immigration measures, refer to the Australian Government’s advice to
travellers.
