Just the other day after looking for flight to bali in May. I booked with jetstar.
I was having a good read of all their terms and came across the 1.9meter limit on the length of checked baggage. I spoke to them twice within 24 hours after paying and I was told there was nothing i could do, no refunds and i had to send my boards by some other means. You can only carry a board which is 6'2 or under which i would say alienates 90% of surfers out there. My main board i use is 7'0
I am seriously thinking of just letting the money go after reading everything on here and booking with another carrier. it will cost me but I may be better off in the long run. I am so angry right now I feel like checking in and no showing on the date.
who would think that an airline would do this to a place where predominantly surfers travel to.
Just not cricket.

Robert I've flown with them for 4 years and never had an issue other than a 1 hour delay once. People on this site post only their side of the story, often biased and ill informed, and just don't do their research and then whinge about paying excess baggage and crap like that. It's a budget airline for gods sake.
Unlike I think any other airline in Aus, they put all their baggage into containers before going under the plane. The containers have a maximum length which is why they have that surfboard rule. It's all clearly outlined on their site. People just need to research their shit before jumping the gun and booking.

Even within 24hrs to get "Sorry sir we will not give you any money back" is basically stealing in my eyes regardless of company t&c which are there to make the company always right.
Your call centers don't help they just rattle off the same thing over and over from a piece of paper which they are given.
I have paid for a service which i no longer require as it does not meet my needs. I would like a refund but it is not worth chasing for years.
