Bad service! Do not ever fly jetstar

On the date of 12/08/2012 around 550am we received very bad service from the lady at the baggage check in counter 07 in terminal 1 domestic , our flight number was JQ502. She was very rude and made comments towards us. We were not very happy and felt our check in luggage was in safe because jet star had lost our luggage On our previous flight to Melbourne 4 days earlier . We decided to take a photo of her counter to use as evidence in chase our luggage is missing again . We were stopped by a lady called Wendy , she forced us to delet our photos threatening us to call sercuraty. She told us it was illegal to take to take pictures without permission. She made many comments towards us and repeatedly threatened to get us arrested. We asked her Her for her identity she refused to disclose her full identity.
I have never been treated like that in my life and I am never taking jetstar again.

If u do not want to loose your bags and be treated like cra@p, then dont take jetstar!

Wow. She's got something to

Wow. She's got something to hide for sure, the stupid bitch. She deserves to lose her job over something like this. shocking. Dont worry, she couldnt get into nail painting school so she had to settle for Shit star.

Well for your information it

Well for your information it is illegal to take pictures or videos in an airport without the persons permission. How would you feel if they came into your place of work and took pictures of you?

Do you realise that as the

Do you realise that as the above comment pointed out it is illegal to take photos of airport staff without permission? Do you understand that airports now have increased security around the world? Would you give out your full name to a complete ( and no doubt agitated) passenger? I highly doubt that you would let alone allow them to take your photo! You're very lucky that security wasn't called as most airport staff would have reported you instantly. I know I would have if I worked at the airport. Secondly, if your bag does go missing it actually has nothing to do with the person who checks you in (check in agent), it has to do with your boarding pass - that's why you need to actually look at the boarding pass at the counter. Thirdly, as with most companies, every piece of passenger data/info is recorded to ensure that it can be checked even years down the track. As for the rude individual who uses foul language to refer to Jetstar staff -do you have any idea how hard they work? Working for any airline requires constant shift changes, long hours and very little gratitude from passengers who are late, booked the wrong flight or simply choose to ignore ticket sale conditions! And nail painting school? Are you serious?! Clearly you've got no idea or any intelligence whatsoever-simple minds make simple comments like that.

Yeah I would not be

Yeah I would not be comfortable with customers filming or taking photos of me either. It is against the law to take a photo of strangers.

There seems to be many people

There seems to be many people stating the legalities of taking pictures here without actually knowing the law. These sort of comments seed misinformation.

I think if it was illegal to take picture in an airport there would be signs everywhere and we would all know about it. When ever I have been to an airport I have always seen many people taking photos.
But, I am no layer and just because I have seen people do it does not make it legal.

There is no law against taking photos of strangers, if there was we would all be in a bit of trouble. You know every single person in every photo you've taken Rosina? Strangers seem to pop up in my photos all the time walking in the background and such.

This is what I have read from

This is what I have read from the Australian Photo Rights Law ( Correct me if I am wrong) :

It is legal to take photos of people in public places without their consents, but it is illegal to take pictures on private property where picture taking is strictly forbidden.

It is illegal to force a photographer to delete hers/his photos by threatening them or by physical or verbal abuse.

It is legal or not also depending on what you do with the photos , also the contents of the photo, so there is not really one law fits all.

Meredith - Why would you have a problem to disclose your identity at work when you knew you have done nothing wrong? Would you really have a problem with someone taking a random picture of you if you knew from your heart that you have provided the best service you can provide to your customers?

I understand their staff maybe having a "bad days", but does that give them an excuse to treat other people with no respect and slack off with their work? AND why do Jetstar have a whole website created just for complaints?????

Can someone answer these question?

Jetstar should really look in to this website from the aspects of feedbacks and stop paying people ( hint - Meredith) to defend their company.

I believe every individual has the right to be respected, but I surely do not respect people that do not respect others , I do agree with Jesse Lee , that Wendy is a Bit$#ch no matter if she is having a bad day or not!

I can answer the question

I can answer the question "why do Jetstar have a whole website created just for complaints" because..I made this site. Read what happened to me HERE.

I am pretty sure Meredith is not on Jetstar's payroll.

The person running Jetstar's facebook page did actually join this site and start replying to messages on here a couple of months ago, but they seem to have been silent the last 2 weeks.

1) There is a difference

1) There is a difference between taking a photo in an airport, and taking photos of security sensitive areas.
2) Have you not seen the signs in Australian Customs queueing areas saying No Mobile Phones, No Cameras. Yet people are still stupid enough to stand their on their phones even when warned of potential fines.
3) Check-in areas and aerobridges and tarmac areas are extremely security sensitive zones. Have you not heard of terrorism? People taking photos of these areas could potentially be using them to plan a plot on how to get a dangerous item onto an aircraft and threaten lives.
4) It is rude to take a photo of a stranger without consent, and if it's not illegal it should be. I would punch them in the head if they did it to me.
5) To Shuai Wang - How on earth is taking a photo of your bag on a counter going to prove or solve anything? When airlines lose peoples bags (and yes it happens on every airline in the world) they don't deny that they received your bag. That is why they give you a bloody baggage receipt number.

To jonnie -taking a picture

To jonnie -taking a picture on a counter can prove if there is a sticker and what sticker because the lady at the counter did not let me check if she put Ye sticker on or not when I asked her ! She told us to go away because she can do her job and she does not need people like me to check up if she can do her job right . Jetstar should have a barcode on the boarding pass for check in bags , but when we lost out bag , no bags was checked in with our name !

Jonnie boy wont be commenting

Jonnie boy wont be commenting here again.....

I've had bad experiences with

I've had bad experiences with checkin staff too ( not just at jetstar) which by the sound of your last MSG that's who you had a problem with! By the Sounds of it this poor wendy girl she was just doing her job. In my line of work ( casino) if I see someone taking footage or photos I am instructed to do the same thing. Being at an airport it is understandable that this is the same concept, especially with the issue of terrorism in recent times. There is no need to use foul language on this site , at the end of the day everyone is just angry with the rules and regulations of Jetstar as a company , not the poor individuals who are following company policies.
