On our flight to Hawaii, a meal was placed in front of my daughter, who was 4 years old, there was no meal tray just a foil container of food placed in front of her. they did not say anything at all, did not caution that it was hot and moved on to ask my choice. Seconds later, it slipped onto her lap and the contents emptied into her lap. The food was a casserole and was boiling hot. She was screaming her inner thighs got severely burnt and blistered. the staff went into a panic held her in a tiny bathroom sink and ran water on her. they apologised and took full blame said that the food needs to be that hot so the back of the plane still gets it hot! Boiling hot food to a small child, with no precautions, ridiculous. They said things like that happen all the time and I should report it.
I had my lawyers sent a letter but they are now trying to say it was my fault.
thanks jetstar

Nina. I'm sure your
Nina. I'm sure your solicitors have already advised you that you have a very strong case of negligence against Jetstar. They will throw back all the blame on you and will drag this as long as they can until you give up. They are notorious for this. They do it because most people give up the fight. Please don't give up. Unless you know a very good solicitor, your best optioon is to take your case to the small claims tribunal in youn state. It is simple, fast and very very cheap.Good luck and I hope your daughter is ok now.
Amir - this is not a small
Amir - this is not a small claim tribunal matter. Straight out public liability issue. Jetstar won't be involved - it will go to straight to their insurer. Nina would be well advised to place the matter with her solicitors and ignore random internet advice.
