Flights Cancelled 75% of the Time!

Travelled to Bali 4 times in 2yrs now in Jetstar Business Class. The first time we flew so far is the ONLY time our flights have not been cancelled. The following 3 times in a row Jetstar have cancelled the flights and left everyone scrambling for additional accommodation, OR you just lose your prepaid accommodation for the nights that Jetstar don't get you there!

AVOID them at all costs!!

Their behaviour is endemic of LOW COST CARRIER and its time the Consumer Authorities in Australia brought them back into line with hefty fines. They hide behind fine print - the truth of the matter is they just can't be bothered sending the aircraft if bookings are at a low level.

We avoid Jetstar at all costs now and advise everyone who asks, to find another airline - you stand a better chance of getting to your holiday destination on the day you've booked for. The biggest joke is Jetstar are now offering cruise deals....good luck if one of their aircraft is actually capable of getting passengers to meet up with a cruise ship!!

What a bunch of over charge

What a bunch of over charge greedy people
On the 30th March 2015 4 of us were booked to fly home from the Gold Coast on flight # JQ 433 At 8.05am which was cancelled with only less than 30 minutes notice ( please note I had been previously book on a 8.05 pm flight JQ449 for the same day but this was changed on Friday the 27th and I was billed an additional $472 for your inconvenience to change this )
So we are seeking a return of the extra funds we were charged for giving u 3 days’ notice as As we only given 30 minutes notice that flight JQ433 was cancelled and even though there was another flight leaving at 7.50am we were not offered a seat on this but instead made to wait for another flight Jq437 that left at 11.55am and even this was delayed by approx. 30 in therefore we are requesting a return of the funds and flights for the inconvenience that i was caused resulting In possible loss of income as I am a self-employed business man and was unable to run due to you lack flights
Please note that unless I get a satisfactory result will have no option to follow this up further with the appropriate authority or courts to resolve the matter as I believe I should be compensated for my inconvenience with 30 minutes notices as you should be when I was billed $472 to changed my flights with 3 days’ notice
In Brief I find it totally unacceptable that u find it fair to bill us an additional $472 to change flights with 3 days’ notice by only offer compensation of an $8 voucher for cancelling a fliegt and not changing us to the next available flight

I booked to fly Syd-Honululu,

I booked to fly Syd-Honululu, on 20/3 showed up at the airport and my flight was cancelled, my options were fly the next day, ie. 24hrs delay or get a refund and go try and buy another ticket yourself.

30/3 return flight, cancelled again!!! yes thats right. This is I checked the flight before i went to the airport, my options were again fly the next day, or take a flight to brisbane and then connect to sydney. since i really need to get back to work I opt to fly to brisbane.

When I got there there was 3 other flights going to sydney before my schedule one, 2 QF and 1 Jetstar, they didn't let me take an earlier one.

the connecting flight ended up being delay as well, that it became a curfew flight, ie. if it doesn't get to syd by 11pm, then it has to return to bris. it was fully bucketing down outside, no aero bridge was connected, we were told to board ASAP so we can get to brisbane in time, we rushed out all wet, boarded the plane dripping, some seat assignments were duplicated so it got very messy. Everyone was stuck in the middle with ppl from the back trying to get to the front and vice versa.

we went along the runway, paused for about 10-15mins then, the pilot decided we were not going to make it to sydney in time, so the plane did not take off!!!!!!!! now we were all stranded at the airport.

as you can imagine there is now a sea of ppl trying to sort out accomodation for the night and changing their flights, could not connect on the phone to them either just on call waiting forever. was still trying at 1am and could not get through. Eventually I got a hold of them at 5am, there they told me they cannot hold my seat unless I am at the airport physically because it is not a direct ticket it is a transfer connecting ticket.

I made it to the airport for the flight, that flight was also delayed. talk about being screwed around. Never flying Jetstar again. The cheaper fare is definitely NOT worth the lost of time, stress, hassle!
