Goodbye Jetstar

Well, I have been a Jetstar customer all these while mainly because of their competitive air fares. My experiences with Jetstar has been fairly okay despite of the few incidents where my flight was rescheduled for up to a day earlier. I didn't mind it them because my travel plan was very flexible. However, around April this year, I've booked my Jetstar flights from Singapore - Melbourne - Adelaide for an important business trip with a tight schedule. I realized that was not a good idea after payment and I've decided to call Jetstar to negotiate a refund or credit of some sort. I was basically being told off by the operators. With no luck of getting refund or compensated, I've decided to book the rest of the legs with other airlines. And gosh, did Jetstar pull a joke on me?! A week after the flights have been confirmed, Jetstar decided to email me and reschedule my original SIN to MEL flight to a day earlier! I could not have flown out that much earlier due to work commitment. After a long chat with them on the phone, they have agreed to refund that particular leg of my itinerary. I had to further convinced them to refund that MEL - ADL flight, which was obviously an immediate transit. Because of this stupid Jetstar who has decided to change my flight schedule, I had to entirely forfeit my whole itinerary and go with a full service airline. I seek Jetstar to compensate me on my loss, via different means, and I was turned down hopelessly. I would never recommend anyone to fly with Jetstar, and if you do, please make sure that you are prepared for your flights to be rescheduled or cancelled.

UPDATE: Oh, guess what.. they've decided to give me a SGD150 flight voucher... Should I even consider flying with them again seeing what has happened?

I wouldn't. Use the voucher

I wouldn't. Use the voucher for a flight somewhere in Asia for a weekend getaway. Don't bother on long haul anymore
