We had our flight cancelled ( engineering problems) hours before take off after already clearing customs and sevetal security checks to be left to collect luggage and make our own way back up to service desk and had to line up behind those who arrived well after us to be told no flights for 4 or more days and no certainty even than after initial excuse saying delayed 24hrs . Only option was to take a refund and rebook and be an extra $3000.00( with guess who Qantas!) out of pocket to get us there in time for connecting flights for rest of 1month US TRIP . Fortunate credit card could cover this being beginning of the holiday not at the end! Will never ever fly Jetstar international again. My girls had flights to Singapore cancelled at last minute also using same excuse ( engineering problems) more like plane not full so no fly! Got refund but the lack of professionalism and treatment not getting put onto limited avail seats on qantas flight that night cos of needing to colkect bags and queue after others was appaling . Due to their incompetence ee are now 3k poorer.

To be honest I would prefer
To be honest I would prefer for my flight to be delayed due to engineering problems rather than allowed to fly and have potential problems while in flight.
But the fact that "engineering problems" delays seem to happen so often with jetstar suggests that they are either delaying flight for other reasons and saying there are engineering problems, or that there is a major problem with the servicing of their aircraft.
Either way, best to avoid Jetstar.
It was intact an "engineering problem" delay that prompted me to make this website.
