It's Sat 7 January, 2012. 1900 AEST
Wanted to check schedule for this evening's Darwin-Saigon JQ service. My wife is on it and wanted to know when she'd be boarding. In a moment of intellectual weakness, thought I'd try the Jetstar web site for that basic information. Surely, they couldn't screw that up??
WRONG.
Go to the Jetstar home page now. Roll over heading "Planning & Booking", click on "Where We Go - Flight Schedules" and you are greeted with this invaluable information (this mob's ineptitude is systemic):
Australia domestic network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 267KB)
Australia short haul / Sth East Asia network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 69KB)
Australia long haul international network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 117KB)
Australia Trans Tasman network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 77KB)
New Zealand domestic network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 67KB)
Singapore network
27 Mar 11 - 29 Oct 11 (PDF, 72KB)
I mean really Jetstar! You wonder why a web site such as this exists??

I think you'll find that if
I think you'll find that if you click on the 'Flight Status' link, to the left of the 'Where We Fly' link you are talking about, you get a chance to search for the status of the flight you want info about. Seems simple enough to me.
I am certainly NOT a Jetstar fan, I share all the links I get on FB about valid complaints through this website cause some of the things JetStar do are just plain wrong - even if it is noted in their terms and conditions.
