jetstars facebook page

so i go to jetstars facebook page for a week and i notice that most of the comments and or help offered by amanda (jetstar) tim (jetstar) and others are just copy and paste replies. So i ask amanda if shes in australia or like the rest of the useless customer care for jetstar, is she really in manilla. So now im blocked from the jetstar page like many others that have a comment or question. Anyway, Here is something i dont understand, I logged on to jetstar live help and asked if i upgrade my starter fare which was 500 bux, so i can earn FF points and get a meal at a cost of $55 per person, is that all it will cost me. NOOOOOOOOOOO. its going to cost the change fee, 40 or 50 bux, the upgrade fee to get the meal $55, which is like 100 bux ish all up.
Then the jetstar helper tells me i have to pay the fare difference as well. so i paid 500 for my flight, ages ago, if the cheapest flight is now 900, i have to pay it, pay the change fee and pay the upgrade turning my fare into a grand. basically if you change ANYTHING on your booked and paid flight, your changes are treated as a new booking. Jetstar are raking in the $$$$$$ just like ryanair in europe. They make 20% of their income from extras.
