Wish I had a better message for you on this fine day in Bali but unfortunately not.
As a QF Plat member I fly Qantas for work internationally on a regular basis. Booking a trip with my girlfriend with Jetstar to Bali I was relaxed and confident knowing that you guys have your act together... Or so I thought.
JQ44 Bali to Melbourne 2.45pm 18th Jan - cancelled at 230pm. Reasoning: not enough staff to crew the plane. Rescheduled for 6am 19th Jan.
1st problem - canceling a flight 15mins before departure is appalling and disrespectful to paying and loyal customers
2nd problem - Jetstar called management at Best Westin Vila Kuta at 12pm on the 18th alerting them to an impending cancelation and they would need to block out 70 rooms for accommodate stranded passengers. BUT passengers were only told this at 215pm after checking in, paying taxis to airport and checking out of their respective hotels. ... Explain?
3rd. Not ONE Jetstar representative accompanied stranded passengers to the overnight accommodation location so all buses transporting passengers were sent to the WRONG hotel, not once but TWICE.
4th. Once at the hotel, people with knowing that they have a 350,000 Rupiah ($35US) meals and drinks vouchers relax by the pool making the best out of a bad situation and order a drink. When paying their bill, they are told that they meals and drinks vouchers cover nothing expect the hotel buffet dinner and water ( which is free) and soft drink so all other expenses will be covered by the stranded passenger. CLEARLY states in your printed information given to passengers that $35US can be spent of meals and other hotel services. Some incredible small print here if it was EVEN printed.
5th. You have unfortunately lost my future business and business of ALL my staff who may use you for future international travel when you treat stranded passengers in this way.
Shocking customer service, shocking communication and "smoke and mirrors" which i would expect from a 3rd or 4th tier carrier.
Will NOT be flying Jetstar again and will ensure all my associates, colleagues and friends are aware of why.

Jetstar part of the Qantas
Jetstar part of the Qantas group. Being a Qantas Plat member makes no difference. Until we treat Jetstar as part of Qantas and boycott Qantas as well, nothing will change at jetstar (jetstar aka Qantas cheap & nasty)
