I booked flights for my mum and I to travel to Melbourne together. She couldn't make it for the dates I booked after something came up so we decided to change the second flight to my boyfriend's name. Should be easy right? I had already paid for the two seats right? Ok, I will happily pay the name change fee (at $75 each way) because I totally understand how difficult it is for you to change those 17 characters. By golly, it must be hard work to press those keyboard buttons! However, what I don't understand is the $250 "difference between fares" we were then charged. What do you mean difference between fares? I'm not booking a new fare, I already paid for that seat. Are you building a new seat for my boyfriend? Don't bother, the one I paid for is fine. Maybe we're getting our own flight attendant... Oh wait, they don't have any services included so that's useless. I really won't be getting anything extra for that $250 except a headache and less interest in my savings account. Can you justify this expense? You weren't going to be selling that seat for this ridiculous price, I already owned it. I feel completely scammed. I had been really excited for this trip and now it's become a nightmare. I have found my dealings with your airline incredibly aggravating, disappointing and difficult. Thanks a lot Jetstar, I will be telling anyone who asks that they should avoid flying with you at all costs (or it will cost them).
