stopped by "inspector??" - for weighing luggage

I was on the flight VF 203 on 17 Mar 2013 from Singapore to Jakarta. After checked in without any issue (including the weighing of my carry on luggage that is exactly 10 Kg). I was stopped before walking into the immigration by a guy who wear a Changi airport employee uniform but said he works for jetstar. He asked me to weigh my bag of which I obliged. Well, he told me to also put on my ipad, computer bag which added another 4 Kg. He said my carry on are overweigh as the policy is to have COMBINED carry on <=10Kg. I said I wasn't clear about the rule and and fly Jetstar for the last 3 years at least 20 times without any problem. He insisted and hold on to my boarding pass. He said I have to pay $60 fine. I said I want to talk to the customer service but he said it does not help and does not want to take me there. I called my wife back and asked her to carry some of my stuff (a novel, my jeans, jacket, etc...) back to home. I told them this is completely ridiculous and this service suck. At the minimum, they should have issued a warning and let me go this time. But this guy insisted even as I told him I swear I will never fly JETSTAR and VALUAIR again. What kind of customer care is this? The guy who stopped me name is: Lim Koon Seng, batch no: 54821. There was anothe Indian guy at the counter who also back him out. I didn't get the name. I have never had this kind of problem with other airlines before who insist on weighing my computer bag. So, all of you who still have not decided to abandon Jetstar, please be careful with your purse, small carry on, etc. Or better, please don't fly jetstar.

EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME

EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AT AVALON AIRPORT .THEY INSISTED ON WEIGHTING MY LV HANDBAG AND WANTED $70 LAST OCT.. HAVE SINCED BOOKED OVER 50 FLIGHTS WITH VIRGIN FOR MY STAFF AS A CONSEQUENCE AND REFUSE TO ALLOW ANYONE IN MY COMPANY TO FLY JETSTAR

To Jenny, Fantastic, but they

To Jenny, Fantastic, but they probably will never know. Contacting customer support is a waste of time, they don't care, if you told them you booked 50 flights on another airline the person on the other end would prob just say, "I'm sorry to hear that" and brush you off with a $50 voucher offer. Need to email up the ladder, you'd think eventually someone must care about their own livelihood?

Well the same thing happened

Well the same thing happened to me at CHangi airport, I went off as I had just got off a flight from Darwin they wouldn't let me get my ticket in the transfer lounge had to go out thought immigration. Darwin didn't charge anything but Singapore charged me $60 asked to speak to the manager was advised the Ripstar Asia was different then Ripstar Australia and they have different ground handlers penny drops. Jetstar you really arie a terrible terrible airline.
