I've responded to several emails on this site.
A lot of people think the ACCC are the one to go to make a complaint, but this is not correct.
The ACCC has four main golas:
1) Maintain and promote competition and remedy market failure
2) Protect the interests and safety of consumers and support fair trading in markets
3) Promote the economically efficient operation of, use of and investment in monopoly infrastructure
4) Increase our engagement with the broad range of groups affected by what we do.
None of the above suggest the ACCC are the right government body to contact to resolve your issue.
If you want to make a complaint, you need to make that to the Airline Advocate: http://www.airlinecustomeradvocate.com.au/General/LodgeComplaintPre.aspx
Failing a satisfactory outcome there, your next step would be to the various state and territory consumer affairs agencies.
They are different in each state.
In Victoria it's www.consumer.vic.gov.au or Vcat www.vcat.vic.gov.au
In New South Wales it's http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/About_us/Online_services/Lodge_a_c...
In Queensland it's https://www.qld.gov.au/law/your-rights/consumer-rights-complaints-and-sc...
In South Australia it's https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/rights-and-law/consumer-rights/disputes/mak...
In Western Australia it's http://forms.commerce.wa.gov.au/consumer-protection/complaint
In the Northern Territory it's http://www.consumeraffairs.nt.gov.au/ForBusinesses/ResolvingComplaintsAn...
And in Tasmania it's http://www.consumer.tas.gov.au/making_consumer_complaint
As for a class action, it's a nice thought, but it's not going to happen....... Unfortunately. You just need to look into the processes that are involved to get that off the ground to know there are cheaper and more effective ways to inform people about Jestar's continued failings.
Word of mouth is the best way to spread your experiences with Jet Star.
Use social media, tell your friends and family.
The more people that spread the word about this appalling airline, the better!
Merry Christmas!

Great info Daniel, thank you.
Great info Daniel, thank you. Will use it to best effect about this shocking excuse for an airline...
Are letters to the editor of
Are letters to the editor of major Australian newspapers a useful approach? Perhaps if we organized to send our individual experiences to various papers at the same time we could get some of our letters published. This might get the message out to mainstream travellers and motivate some Jetstar / Qantas attention to their many significant shortcomings.
Thanks for this. I have added
Thanks for this. I have added the relevant parts to the how to contact jetstar page
When staff are so rude and
When staff are so rude and nasty and even threaten to call the AFP to bully you away from having to help you identify which conveyor belt your bag will come out on, you know the airline is seriously employing people who care not for others or service. Flew with them today to Cairns and had to put up with childish cheek this from the two sorry chumps in baggage services Cairns. Never again. I feel sorry for them being so small and making peoples day so unpleasant. Never left an airport hating someone so much! P.S. Using or threatening to use the AFP to investigate false matters is a serious federal offence and I will be reporting this discraceful behavoir to the Airline Advocate. Contact on legal@clerkish.com.au if you would like to apologise, im not chasing Jetstar. Thank you for all the info that saved me time at www.dontflyjetstar.com. Full boycot now in place.
For any Jetstar flights that
For any Jetstar flights that may originate or terminate in Honolulu, complaints can also be filed with the U.S. Department of Transportation at the following website: https://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/file-consumer-complaint
I filed my complaint earlier today, and it was quick and easy. Good luck!
