xmas flight

hi im steve from Attadale in WA -I booked a flight on Jetstar 2 months ago to fly home to be with my family for xmas -it was going to be the 5pm flight to melb from perth getting into melb at 1am--got an txt from Jetstar saying my 5pm flight to melb was cancelled --I rang them and they said the only other alternative was either quantas 1300hrs flight OR quantas 0600 flight on xmas eve SO I had to go with 0600 flight as the other was fully booked out --my point being I have to miss a day of work because of this blunder and only 7 days notice--not good enough jetstar

They should rename Jetstar to "CancelledJets". I have been caught out with them a few times, so has family and friends. They are unreliable when providing a so called service, but great at taking your money.

Grrrr f*#k jetstar. Booked to travel on a four and a half hour flight from Cairns to Denpasar (10:55pm dep) with my family of 6 including an 18 month old toddler for our Christmas holiday.When called to the gate, us and another 7 passengers were told we could no longer fly beach use we didn't have any check in luggage and they needed to lighten the weights, then we were told it was due to bad weather in Bali (we checked, no wind warning), and then told it was because we had booked the 'cheap' flights (we hadn't)....After waiting a further 2 hours (with now extremely tired and grumpy toddler)until anyone informed us what was occurring we were told that our only option was to be placed on a flight the next morning from cairns-Sydney (5 hour stop over!) and then on to Denpasar...... extremly rude customer service at every point and a major stuff around for a seemingly straight forward journey. What will it take for this company to be held accountable??

Do not fly with Jetstar. This poorly managed airline cancels flights at the last minute and fails to compensate for their blunder. There are 3 certainties in life: tax, death and cancelled jetstar flights.

I had a booked flight

I had a booked flight Melbourne to Perth on 23rd 6:40am. They contacted me on 17th to say the flight was cancelled due to engineering requirements. The flight is still listed as a departure from Melbourne airport. I called them on the 17th and they would only put me on a flight through Adelaide (all day stop off) on the 24th. I specifically asked to be put on a Qantas flight since they where still advertising available seats on the flights on the 23rd but she refused. Its cost me more to get another flight with someone else and they haven't refunded my money yet.
