More expensive than business class. Be wary of "add on value".

What a sad ripoff. For the money I've spent on Jetstar this year I could have had my feet up in business class on a real airline. Instead I've suffered the usual delays, discomfort and cancelled flights.

What's worse is that I'm not even sure why this travel has cost me so much. The call centre is hardly a forum to ask simple questions to get an easy answers. That would be nice, but remains a pie in the sky daydream when it comes to Jetstar. Everytime I have to speak to them I end up in tears of frustration... and I am not an emotional person. It is like going around in rings and...

rip off and delays

After arriving 15 mins before the check-in, I was told that as the flight was actually an international connection and I had missed the 1 hour check-in cut off. I was only flying from Melb to Syd.. So I was slugged $120 to change my flight to one an hour later. Since then the gate has changed twice, and the flight has been delayed five hours....still waiting. Days meetings cancelled and the day wasted.
Will never use them again.

DON'T BOTHER RINGING 131538

We turned up at the airport for our trip and they then decided to cancell the flight and no other flight for 24 hours, given an authorisation letter by THE HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE to cover transport to newcastle and accomodation and meals, now 27 phone calls to manilla and faxes and online complaint form NOTHING our bill was $306 ,try to find their head office not even the people at qantas have any idea where SHITSTAR is, an address is needed for a VCAT hearing not their p.o.box address , now we have paid for next flights and no tickets....lucky there is some info on this site...another...

Frozen web site

I tried to book a flight online for a trip to Auckland for my daughters hen party, it took ages to get to where I needed to be on the site, when I managed to book the seat (return trip), the site froze when I got to the final stage. The site said click on finalise - no finalise button, site frozen. Waited for a couple of days, no confirmation email, no nothing. So I thought that nothing had happend, and made other travel arrangements. To my horror, NINE days later I get a confirmation email and money goes out of my credit card account. I rang the 0800 number and the lady was as helpful...

Tried to book a flight at !:30 pm on March 18th and after I paid it was change to March 17. After I paid additionally to change it it was changed to the 8:30am flight. Customer service was nonresponsive and rude.

NEVER, NEVER fly Jetstar again... Surfboard nightmare

I will NEVER fly Jetstar again!
We were due to fly to Perth on 27 December 2011. We checked in and were rudely told we couldn't check in our surfboard bag because it was too tall for the cargo carrier. We had checked on the website if we could take the board and everything appeared fine. Only flights passing through SYD, ADL and HKT are restriced by the small cargo cages (1.9m on A320 and A321). Flights on A330 can take cargo upto 2.77m.

Jetstar never informed us that we would be boarding a smaller plane to Perth and so we were left with two options, kindly (not) suggested by...

Jetstar have NO shame!!!! They changed my flight from Darwin-Ho CHi Minh direct after I had booked all hotels and coordinating flights, to a diversion to Singapore with a 10 HOUR stop over,

At least 3 member in thier dodgy call centre told me I would get a $250 voucher for me and my husband..I have just spoken to them after 6 weeks and around 15 phonecalls and now it is $50!!! WTF?!?!

5 weeks ago, I asked to split the flights for a longer stopover so we could catch some proper Z's in a Singaporean...

Jetstar cancelled mine and my partners flight Melb-Auck. They made us book sepearetly at the start - no problems. After cancelling our flight, we opted for the refund they offered. My refund came through a few days later but partners never did. He was willing to for go the $$ because he didn't want to deal with them but I wanted the damn money back!! So 4weeks since i requested the refund still no money. Send the below faxes but they say they haven't received them. What fax number have others been told to use??

Finally Had A Win, But Almost Suffered An Aneurysm

So I booked flights last year from Cairns direct to Auckland, and they then cancelled that leg prior to my flight, which was fine, as they gave me new flights, which I managed to get from Townsville, and paid no extra. This work out really well. For my trouble, they then issued me with a $50 voucher for every person travelling, and a $100 for every person on the booking travelling for the return flight, as it was now an overnight stop in Sydney. Great, I had my wife and 6 children, so we scored $1200 in vouchers, to be used within 6 months.

So 3 months is now up, and I come to use...

Following a very early morning disturbance, I have spent all of today feeling extremely upset with Jetstar Airlines. This evening I decided to make a complaint on their website. Through that, I have discovered 'DontflyJetstar.com' which I wasn't even aware existed!Very interesting too

Cancelled flight, terrible customer service, never fly with you again Jetstar!

We arrived for our flight at Auckland at 6am for a 7am flight. As we went to board the plane we were told we were being checked out through customs- with no explanation as to what was happening! As we entered through security doors a young child was locked on the other side from her parents. The parents were told by Jetstar staff to "shut up" three times as they tried to get staff to release the door to get their child. We could not find any staff to direct us out of customs and back to the Jetstar terminal. When we finally found our way someone ran out to hand the que a letter stating...

Jetstar like to make the customer pay more, leave them and offer them the most horrible customer service.

They left me stranded in Vietnam, not even one Jetstar person was there, not even a phone number to call and yet there flight status is last-check in and I was not late and I was told at Tan San Nhat Airport that they do not know anything about Jetstar besides always getting there information wrong. I called customer care only to be offerred buying a new ticket ( because that is the only thing they are good at, taking your money ), or be left stranded there to write a complaint which I did and after 72 hours still have no repplied. I later have to buy a new ticket from Vietnam Airlines...

System crashes and Im forced to pay

Absolutely disgusted with Jetstar. I have had 3 supervisors admited that the system crashed around the time i purchased my 2 adult flights from melbourne to denpasar and never recieved a confirmation e-mail. Therefore it was until i called up 5 days later that I had found out that my flights were booked for the 10th not the 17th of june. Flight Cancelled

We were meant to leave Bali at 10pm with Jetstar. Got to the airport at 7. Got our bags checked only to see our flight had been CANCELLED> Not delayed just cancelled. We then had to line up for 3 hours without anyone telling us anything before we got yelled at for asking what the hell was happening. The lady then put us on a Virgin Australia flight to Brisbane although we needed to fly to Sydney, without letting us know what she was doing. The reason why Jetstar is a low-cost air carrier but earns huge profits by is charging excess baggage fees!!

We made an online booking and as a first-time customer, i did not check the option for check-in baggage, thinking they refer to those carriers that we bring up to the plane. The fee charged than was $15. Went back the website after payment and realise that we missed out on the check-in baggage, they charged an additional $8 for a one-way trip, which amounts to $16 per person. Found out online that if we were to pay on the day of departure, it will be $60 per person. How despicable! I am not petty about the money being charged here. But the customer service receives truly sucks. The letter...

$300 baggage fee ( this was not even excess baggage)

I booked return flight for me and my girlfriend from Auckland to Christchurch. We live in Boston, United States and were flying New Zealand domestic for the first time while on vacation.

While booking the tickets online well in advance I prepaid for my baggage (1 bag , $15) but I wasn't sure if my girlfriend will check in her bag and even if she does we can do it at the airport counter. Every airline allows 1 check in bag per passenger (even if it is with a fee usually $15,$20 or $25) and this can always be paid at the check in counter.

As expected we were happily checked in...

Due to error on web site I was charged for 4 seats for the same flight. Didn't get my money back.

I was trying to book flight form Jakarta to Singapore on Jetstart web site. After entering my credit card information finish the transaction, a prompt came out saying "There has been an error in transaction, please try again". I did, I tried totally 4 times and all the time same error. I did not get any itinerary by email or any other means. I just forgot abut it and booked flight with another company on the same day.

Paid no change fee but being charged it again everytime i change and charged again for baggage and taxes

I have paid no change fee to upgrade to this level. then everytime i change they try to charge again a change fee and the baggage fee i already paid and taxes i already paid . It is illegal and a lying greedy airline government needs to step in and stope this frauulent behaviour or close down these scamming practices.

Rude Attitude from Flight Attendant - Nurul

My bf and I were onboard 3K 538 back to Singapore form Phuket on 5th Feb 2012. During the preparation for take-off, Nurul gave us a very bad impression when the baggage she was holding hit the leg of the lady sitting opposite the aisle, and Nurul simply walked off without appologizing.

When the flight took off, my bf and i were both asleep, suddenly i was awoken by him and i realized that the 2 flight attendants (including Nurul) pushing the cart had hit his knee hard and woke him up in pain and shock. TRYING TO USE JETSTAR VOUCHERS TO BOOK FLIGHTS

Yes I made the grave error of getting a Jetstar Mastercard last year - the rewards are in Jetstar vouchers - their customer service does answer but you get absolutely no where.
On initial use of the card you are supposed to get a $200 voucher - well this didnt happen, numerous phone calls and 3 months later I finally got that voucher shortly followed by another voucher for accumulating points.
The fun then begins in trying to use them - put the voucher into the booking online and get - voucher number not valid - then I try by phone - its expired - the dates clearly state 3...
