Jetstar couldn't get bags off plane

Flew to Queenstown from Auckland. Chose Jetstar because they were the first carrier into Queenstown in the morning ( 9am ) and we were on limited time. When we arrived at the Queenstown air terminal we were late getting to the baggage carousel. To our surprise we found most of the passengers at the carousel waiting. A Jetstar representative approached us and asked if we were on the Auckland flight that just arrived. Per inhumane

May 3rd at gate 49 Sydney airport, party of five. 30min plus earlier for our 1.50pm flight. Gates open to board, daughter mentions that she is feeling sick. Explained that she cannot use the lavatories on plane unit in the air. Therefore instead of being sick in front of all passengers better off go to bathroom only approx 30mtrs from gate. Explaining to the staff attendees as it was time to board 3 of us at the gate. Last call called out. Changed flight times

I booked a flight with JetStar on the 3rd of January 2014. I chose Jet Star because the flights they were offering at the time were the times I wanted to fly. On the 4th of May they emailed me to advise me that the flight times had changed. The new flight times were simply not convenient. Leaving two hours earlier on Sunday the 3rd of August, meaning I would have to get to the airport at 5am as opposed to 7am. Today we had flight booked at 9:55 am we got there at 9:30 they did not let my son on board of the plane ,we pleaded with them he's dad is in hospital dying from cancer they did not care at all,I found their attitude very rude and obviously no customer service my husband made a complaint and they were going to call security ,he was in no way rude or threatening to them ,on top I had to pay $100 dollars more so he can fly at 3 pm hopefully he makes it in time to see he's dad before he passes away .
Jetstar if I have a choice will definitely not flying with you ever again your staff...

Flights Changed AGAIN

Sounds to me like the LCC advertise cheap flights, then if they don't sell well, they change the flights (stuff people around) so to maintain they don't lose anything. An Ombudsman needs to be allocated for these companies, to make sure they're not ripping people off. My mother has just been told, a 2nd time, that her flights have been changed again. She's flying Syd to Perth return in Aug (fare bought Dec 2013), originally a "sale fare" directly to Perth. Beware the Jetstar Airways Debacle - 5 Days Travel, 3 Schedule Changes

Recently, my wife and I booked a 5 day holiday to Singapore, which was brilliant bar one aspect –our Jetstar Flight Debacle.

I share this experience because I have got nowhere with Jetstar, and so that you might avoid this happening to you.

In summary, our five day holiday comprised of;
• 3 separate ‘schedule changes’ – one a few months prior to outgoing flights, one the day prior to the outgoing flight, and one the day of our return flight
• The requirement to book an extra nights accommodation (due to change #1), and nearly a 2nd extra night (due to change #3)...

jetstar nightmare

I would like to complain about my recent flights on board jetstar. The first flight I was on apparently wanted to leave early so although I was there one hour before the flight (required time is 25min) I had to run with all my bags, my three year old and carrying a one year old. Then when I got to the gate that was doing its last call the staff were incredibly rude I asked for help with my bags and I was told I would be fine and to get on the plane. Forgot every ones luggage

DELAYED FLIGHT TWICE for the same 9.50pm flight.

JQ567 late night 9.50pm from Birsbane to Melb. The only flight I can catch with Jetstar after work when I rush from Toowoomba (1h 45 min drive) to the brisbane airport.

Payment ripoff

Completely f***ed off with Jetstar... I booked a month ago while they had sale flights and the money left my account. I went in tonight to check my booking details to discover my booking has disappeared. When I phoned them they told me the money was not received on the booking so they cancelled it. Shocking rude service at help desk@ Auckland Airport

Hi, writing to you about the shocking 'customer service' we received at the service desk at auckland domestic airport last night.

The flight my girlfriend and I were on from queenstown to auckland was initially delayed 30 minutes giving 20 minutes to disembark our flight and re-check in for a auckland to wellington flight, we explained this to staff in Queenstown and told would still be plenty of time.

The flight was then further delayed so that would now miss the check in time by the time we got to auckland, again we explained to a staff member at the gate and she said not...

UNBELIEVABLE MISTAKE

Today l booked a Jetstar flight to Melbourne on Sunday. The web page only gave 3 flight choices, two in the morning and one in the afternoon at 2.45 so l booked it for $198. I then got sent my itinerary which said l booked a 9.55 flight arriving at after midnight! My God! How could that happen! I phoned them and they wanted to charge me an EXTRA $225 to change the booking comprising of $75 charge to change and $44 for talking to them on the phone and a difference in the flight cost. I argued with them for over an hour and eventually had to pay an extra $74.
I will NEVER BOOK THEM...

I Struggled to get my refund for a flight that Jetstar cancelled.
Finally got the refund after 6 weeks and heaps of phone calls and emails plus $100 flight voucher for my inconvenience.
I gave up on calling "customer service' in Manilla and found a few email addresses on this website so sent them off with my complaint, received an email almost immediately apologising and advising they would tell the Finance Dpt to make my refund a priority...I had the money back in my bank account within a couple of days

CHILD BURNT - my four year old daughter sufferered burns and they wont take the blame

On our flight to Hawaii, a meal was placed in front of my daughter, who was 4 years old, there was no meal tray just a foil container of food placed in front of her. they did not say anything at all, did not caution that it was hot and moved on to ask my choice. 6 hour delay, ruined the weekend

Arrived at OOL on Sunday 27th April to discover that our flight to MEL had been postponed for 6 hours! Technical issues.... like you can have any argument with that. However I cannot comprehend that there was no other plane available from BNE or SYD and that we had to wait for another to come up from MEL.

Of course we received no notification at all of the delay. The staff at the airport tried to make out that it was our problem for not receiving a text message telling us of the delay. I confirmed with her that all our mobile numbers were correctly on the booking but again...

Direct Gold Coast to Hobart Services Cancelled

I had a return booking Gold Coast to Hobart which normally takes about 2.5hrs but for some unknown reason Jetstar thinks that more people want to fly from Hobart to Brisbane than the Gold Coast so in their wisdom they have cancelled the Direct Services.

Their Reservations Department offered me a service from Brisbane to Hobart via Melbourne which required me to make my own way to Brisbane, get off the flight in Melbourne, collect my bags, line up in queues again to recheck my bag and finally line up in queues at Security to finally board my next flight some four hours later.WHAT A...

I just reached home and decided to post same complaint regarding broken luggage. I think for everyone who took Value air or Jetstar flight from Singapore to anywhere should be aware about this issue.

I took Valueair flight from Singapore to Surabaya with code VF 249 18.50 (24 April 2014) with my mom and grandma. In-courteous & rude staff @ Bali

I was flying from Bali to Singapore and the staff was really rude and in-courteous while we were checking in for our flight to Singapore. On top of it, he was talking to his colleagues making fun of us in his local language thinking we are foreigners and would not understand that but thanks to a local passenger behind us who told us about the same.

We really had a terrible time and I will never travel with Jetstar again.

Not allowed to board the plane

I was supposed to go from Bangkok to Singapore to Darwin on March 17 and then after five hours in transit board a connecting flight to Dili in Timor Leste to attend a business meeting.
Before buying the tickets we made sure with the Australian embassy that I do not need a visa for Australia since my transit time in Darwin airport is less than eight hours.

Switched flights

I fly regularly , and book my flights online without a problem .
Recently I booked a Friday frenzy fare for myself and girlfriend from Mackay to brisbane from my iPhone , first of all it took 3 attempts because there site kept timing out.
4th attempt booked flights , we received a change of flight notice a week later on checking this I noticed the flights had reversed brisbane to Mackay rather then other way around , not sure if I was going crazy I asked around this had happened to another person we know .

Flights cancelled - TWICE

We booked two seats on JQ759, a 2:45 direct flight from Brisbane to Hobart for 30th April, 2014 on 10th February.
On 16th March, we get an email changing our flight to two sectors via Melbourne for a travel time of nearly 8 hours. We booked the original flight because it was a direct service and because it met our need to be in Hobart by 12pm.

Jetstar had nothing else to offer except fly the next day or fly the previous day on another long one stop flight and we pay for an extra night in Hobart. They refused to refund.

In the end we decided to fly the next day and...

On the train from Katoomba to be at "Shitstar" at least one hour before departure.
No phone service in the tunnels.
Got halfway down, got a voice message from some ineligible bloody Asian which I had to listen to 4 times as I could not comprehend any of the gobbledegook ...except the end!
"Have a nice day" I reckon it stated !!!!!
With only 2 hours left to get to the airport from the train.....THEY HAD CANCELLED MY FLIGHT!!!!!!!
As I live in Tasmania, and my partner had booked the flights online, I urgently phoned her to help.

Use the website to change flights NOT the call centre

I booked a flight and had to change it which was my own fault - annoying but fair enough, they do warn you the cheap fares aren't changeable. I did a direct bank transfer to avoid credit card fees then my wife told me about ten minutes later that the dates didn't work.

Tip #1, Jetstar in NZ banks with ASB, I'm with ASB too unfortunately which meant the transfer went through immediately. I rang the bank to see if they could cancel the transfer - they couldn't, but you might have better luck with other banks.

Tip #2, Pay by bank transfer, but...
