Unreliable - Promised written refund not paid

I had a confirmed reservation for the flight JQ 62 on Sept. 15th 2012 and a prepaid seat fee of SIN$ 120 for specially requested seats with extra leg room (I am 2 Meter tall). These seats were also confirmed.
Arriving at the check in they told me that the confirmed seats were taken are we were given "normal" seats, a horrible situation for me with my long legs!
Unreliable I: Although you have a written and paid confirmation you don´t get your confirmed seat!

2 months and still waiting

Due to sudden illness I was unable to take my return flight home. My sons flew up to be with me while I was hospitalised. One of them was double charged for his return flight home ($459). He was told by airport staff he would be refunded within 3-5 days. That was 2 months ago and he has received nothing.
I was told I could change the date of my return flight (within 15 days) with no costs involved due to Jetstar's compassionate circumstances policy. This was not true either. I had to book and pay for a 2nd flight and then request a refund. Jetstar then refused to refund...

OMG- They ripped off my bank account and left me stranded!

Please advise everyone you know to never , ever use jetsar!

I wanted a the cheapest flight from Honolulu to Sydney and it ended up with the most expensive, not only was the flight delayed causing me to miss my connecting flight to Canberra, but they also managed to rip off my bank account, causing my bank to freeze my funds leaving me stranded with no flight, no cash and no hope!

Apparently if you use your credit card to purchase anything from jetstar, they are listed as one of the top most fraudulent companies and will access your account and drain it "by mistake". HOWEVER...

Hi All, like most of you I have had, or to be more precise, am currently having a nasty shitty experience with that wonderful airline we know as Jetstar. Or as I like to call them: Fuckstar.

24 Hours I'll Never Get Back

After a great week on Boracay Island, Philippines, My wife and I were due to fly out of Manila on Sat 5 Jan at 5pm. Got a text message that same morning saying flight had been delayed by 3 hours now leaving at 8pm. Not ideal, but shit happens.
Logged in that afternoon to check in on line only to be advised that the flight had now been cancelled and was rescheduled for 5pm the next day. Gave me fake information so that I will pay for my booking

I think this is the very few airlines with an actual hate page website. After trying to book an air ticket from Singapore to Auckland and to clarify certain doubts.... I realised they have the worst customer service I have ever experience.

I understand that it is a budget airline but all I was asking for was basic courtesy and truthful information. However, all I had was rude people who gave me fake information to bluff me into paying for my tickets. - Charged for excess baggage that wasn't excess in Honolulu. The Jetstar Call Centre advised us that we had extra baggage that somehow didn't show up on the Jetstar employees computer (spiked 8 kilos with no change in connecting flight) in Sydney
- Arrived at the airport at 4:00AM to have a 16 hour delay with no notification

international terminal - domestic flight

My daughter to was to leave for Sydney today. We arrived at the airport 1.15 hours before the flight but the check-in line was massive - literally 200 metres long. By the time we could finally asked a question with one of the roving staff we realised that we were in the wrong 'terminal' in Melbourne (ie 100 metres in the otherr direction). By then it was 55 mins before our flight. Flight Changes

Booked an international flight with a Jetstar leg (not my choice) from Wellington to Christchurch all done through Emirates online.

Jetstar changed their flight from 12:45 to 15:50, and we only found out by fluke the week before we traveled when we thought we had better check since they had changed our incoming flight times as well (we did not get any email or sms or phonecall or anything).

Changing Flights

Plan B. After not being able to get a refund, (refer to an earlier post) I thought I'd just change the dates on my tickets. Well I checked yesterday to change one of the flights and it was was $233 which was OK (just OK). Checked with friends and decided to book the flight today ---SURPRISE $483 to change, what can change so much in 24 hours ? Frustrated but will still not give up!!!! And Melbourne was the only city that didn't have flights to Honolulu on special...huh????? Jetstar do make it difficult.

I booked a flight with Jetstar from Sydney on Boxing Day jq513 and was escorting my 90 year old frail mother home after Christmas. As well as try to manage her and her walking stick,I was also carrying both our carry on's and our two hand bags. My son was queued today to fly home to join us for Christmas. He texted me 20 minutes before the flight to say they wouldn't let him on because he was "late". He didn't even have any luggage. Family Christmas ruined. Thanks Jetstar. Managed to pay Air Nz 350 dollars to come much later. He is a Uni student and really has money to spare ...yeah right. Never again Jetstar, you hear stories like this all the time, but at Christmas the ramifications are really sad. Cheap shouldn't also mean nasty.

Demoralised Again by Jetstar

Well, where do I start . . . The beginning is a good place to start. Having flown Jetstar quite a number of times and having had issues every time, one would think it is high time to fly with an airline that actually flies. Not this boy! I kept fooling myself that maybe this was their last stuff-up. Anyone that has flown this poor excuse of an airline (i.e. Jetstar) would be well aware that this is not really an airline service but a dis-service to its customers.

My flight being cancelled twice is my own fault?

Not flying Jetstar very often, they had a great sale a few months ago and decided to go ahead and book the tickets. What a mistake that turned out to be. My flight to Melb got cancelled on the day I had to fly, and had to re-book. Luckely they didn't charge for a later flight, but it was an inconvenient time for me as it put me where I needed to be 8 hours later. A week later on my return flight, same thing happened.
Flight cancelled again! o_o . This time I had my wife travel with me (already on my original booking) so I use their booking system to change to a later flight again....

Cairns service is seriously lacking

Ok let me set the scene.

Two flights leaving from Cairns at around 6:00pm .
Both flights checking in and people lined up ready to check in.

According to screens there is 5 counters open 2 for Melbourne , 2 for Perth , 1 for Melbourne or Perth.
Of these 5 counters only 3 had people on them even though all 5 said they were open, after waiting five minutes one of the counter ladies packs up and leaves for who know where. That left two working.

On the 8/11/12 me and my brother were meant to board a Jetstar flight from Christchurch to Wellington to attend my 9year old cousins funeral. We were flying with our dad, and because he got there first and had told us that he had checked in we thought that he had checked us all in as we didn't know that Jetstar had changed their check in process. When we found out that wasn't the case we rushed to the check-in desk, only arriving two minutes late (with no check in baggage!!) we were told nope, check in is closed. Nothing i can do. What is the point of cancelling?

I booked a trip to Honolulu and due to circumstances I have to cancel the trip.
What is the point of contacting Jetstar and canceling the ticket, receive absolutely no refund of any description so they can re-sell ticket. I have traveled with other LCC and received part refunds.

Surely it would be a better practice of Jetstar to at least offer some % refund and a bit if good will?
Meanwhile, I won't be canceling my ticket, if fact I'll probably even do the on line check , maybe with a bit of luck, who ever has chosen the seat next to be will have a vacant seat.

Overbooking and poor customer service a common practice

We booked 11 seats on a 9am flight from Cairns to Melbourne back in May 2012, this morning at 7am (4/12/12) as we are just hopping in our car to get to the airport we get a call to say that they have overbooked the flight and we now have to fly out at 6.20pm as there is not enough room on the am flight. I had a trip booked to Melbourne next week to catch up with some friends I met whilst travelling. Yesterday I received the news that my Grandma passed away and the funeral is on the day I am due to depart.

Lost Baggage after paying an extra $45

I was flying from Melbourne to Singapore last night on Jetstar.

Checked in my luggage and everything was going smoothly.

BUT AT THE DEPARTURE GATE... there was another surprise baggage check.

It seemed like my wife and I had bags that were 3kgs overweight.
